Professor David Hopkins work with AiZ stakeholders has provided clarity of purpose. He has provided AiZ with the intellectual framework to realise school improvement and his writings and school improvement handbook provide participating schools with core reference materials to guide the implementation of improvement strategies.
Through seminars, meetings and school visits he has worked with principals, Regional Network Leaders, School Improvement Groups and Learning Leaders, to develop a clear picture of the task at hand.
David has challenged AiZ participants and his message is clear: school improvement must be led by principals and teachers, focusing on changing teachers’ classroom practice.
